• from 6th Graders raising Outdoor Camp trip money
• fundraised through "low value" sales of candy, pickles etc.
• costs for the program ranged $8,000 - $13,000/year
• officials thought Peverly took significantly more than $11,000
• but recordkeeping was too poor to prove a larger amount

February, 2006 – Alfreda Dean from Dover High
• secretary charged in connection with $6,295 in missing funds
• alleged crimes occurred between Jan 2004 - Dec 2005
• her responsibility was for field trips and other school-based activities
• she would receive cash & checks from faculty members, but cash was not always deposited
• she would alter the books to make it appear only checks were received.
