Upcoming Changes to your Methods of Payment

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Great news! The Ottawa Catholic School Board is pleased to announce the addition of credit cards as a method of payment on School Cash Online. Changes will also be coming to your myWallet.

When will this change come into effect?
On July 30th, you will be able to use Visa and Mastercard to pay for items such as field trips and hot lunches.

What credit cards will be supported?
You will be able to pay using Visa and Mastercard from all major Canadian financial institutions.

What will happen to the other methods of payments?
To offer this convenience to parents, the Ottawa Catholic School Board has made the decision to cease supporting payments using myWallet. On July 30th, School Cash Online will no longer support making purchases using myWallet funds, or loading funds into myWallet.

Not to worry though, as you can continue to pay for items online with credit card or eCheck.

What will happen to my balance on myWallet?
Existing myWallet balances will be automatically refunded from July 31st to August 5th. You do not need to take any action. Please allow a few business days for processing.

Can I continue paying for items using myWallet or request a refund before July 30th?
Yes, you can continue paying for items and request a refund up to July 30th. After July 30th, remaining myWallet balances will be automatically refunded.

Your support is more important than ever. Thanks to parents making purchases online, we have reduced the amount of cash and cheques coming into our school, giving our teachers and administrators more time to focus on education, and not on counting coins.
